BACKSTAGE PASS
When The Salt Mine first took shape, it was our haven, a place we could visit whenever the mood struck. We'd simply unlock the door, illuminate the space, choose our favorite tunes, and indulge in playtime. It felt like having access to our own secret clubhouse.
Now, we're thrilled to offer flexible rental options that grant you the same magical feeling. The BackStage Pass is your ticket to reliving that enchanting experience. With it, you gain entry an open dance floor, a room with 10 poles, access to aerial silks, lyras, hammocks, and customizable mood lighting to match your vibes. Whether you prefer weekly or monthly options, it's all here for you. And if you're visiting town for vacation, we've got your off-site studio, waiting just for you!
The Nitty-Gritty
To become a BackStage Pass Holder, all you need to do is complete an on-site tour and training session with one of our Owners. You'll learn the ins and outs of operating the equipment confidently. Additionally, you gain access to the entire Salt Mine calendar, allowing you to plan the perfect days and times for sneaking away to have fun.
The BackStage Pass is also a great way to get in extra rehearsal time for an upcoming showcase, or, if you enter a competition, use your BackStage Pass to run through your competition piece as many times as you need! You may even ask for feedback from other pass holders! The Salt Mine is your playground to do all the things.
“*The BackStage Pass is not intended to be private time - there may be other BackStage Pass holders and instructors in the space as well. This is a fun way to build community and jam together.”

Jessica L
Jessica. Jessica found a love for pole after deciding to try pole 4 years ago as a way to gain self confidence and has been doing it ever since. This will be her second time performing after how much fun she found she had doing it last year. This song is about Jessica being fed up with with the abuse and enabling she's suffered at the hands of her lover and his friends and has finally gained the courage to leave him. However the time that she's been under her lovers thumb has left her a little, let's say, UNHINGED. Now that she's left him, is she really so willing to let him and his friends get away with all they've done to her?

Aaliyah, Lily, & Pixie
Aaliyah, Lily, and Pixie perform professionally together at Molly’s Gemini Room, where they’ve each been dancing for about a year. During that time, they’ve also honed their skills through training at The Saltmine, bringing both technical finesse and emotional depth to their performances. Aaliyah brings a foundation in ballet to her movement, her floorwork is smooth and fluid, and on the pole, she’s the embodiment of a midnight ballerina: elegant, controlled, and hypnotic. Lily is strength wrapped in grace. Youthful yet wise, she flows through pole combinations with effortless rhythm and a radiant presence (and yes, she really does have the world’s cutest smile). Pixie is here to flirt, with gravity and with you. For her, dance is joy, play, and seduction rolled into one. She uses centrifugal force like a love spell, to play with your heartstrings and fill you with warmth. Though their styles and backgrounds differ, this past year of connection and vulnerability in the club has woven their movement into a shared, expressive language. Dancing on stage together feels intimate, empowered, and uniquely theirs. They dance with the hope that every woman can see herself reflected in their art, and maybe even be inspired to explore the power and freedom of dancing in your birthday suit.

Tessa
Tessa Scheuer started her chair dance journey with Courtney Stevens in November 2023. Since then, chair dance has helped Tessa feel more confident, strengthen her body, and relearn her love for movement and dance. She has performed in the last three Chaos Circus Company amateur shows as a member of the chair group, and looks forward to many more performances. Tessa also practices pole dance and fitness, and she also recently began training on lyra. Tessa is very excited to debut her first time choreographing and performing a solo on the chair.

Charissa
Ariel White is a passionate pole dancer who has been spinning, climbing, and growing in her craft for a little over a year. What started as an invitation from her sister Rachael quickly turned into a powerful personal journey—one rooted in strength, expression, and community. Currently, she’s enrolled in five pole classes, constantly challenging herself to evolve in technique and artistry. With a backstage pass, Ariel stays immersed in the studio’s energy, both behind the scenes and on the pole. While Rachael opened the door, it’s the people—their support, inspiration, and shared passion—that made her stay. Special shout-out to her Pole Mama, Kylamen, whose guidance, encouragement, and fire continue to shape Ariel’s journey every step of the way. This performance showcases Ariel’s strength and growth as a dancer and that pole can be for everyBODY!

Jess s.
Jess first discovered pole in 2008 from a stripper friend and from YouTube (back in my day!), and has been hooked ever since. She started taking classes regularly in 2017, and began teaching at her home studio in Illinois in 2019. Jess is a lover of old school style moves, edgy heels work, and sensual floor flow. Jess recently moved to Salt Lake, and will be joining the Salt Mine instructing staff starting in August. She will be teaching on Thursday nights at 8:00pm, so come join her for class! She loves supporting and celebrating her students through their own unique pole and fitness journeys.
